Quick Access Student Profile
— Mar 22, 2010
One of the cornerstones of NiftySchool is speed. It’s very important for a language school administration tool to be able to access students’ profiles in a snap.
Imagine your receptionists during a busy day — you don’t want them to fiddle with the database and waste time, while a student is waiting in front of them!
The quickest way to access student data is using the search box, which is always available on the top right corner so that you can use it regardless of which screen is before you.

The search box is quite powerful, and you can search by:
- Surname: e.g., type “Smith”
- Name: e.g., type “John”
- Date of birth: e.g., type “23/08/1982”
- Unique Identifier: e.g., type “10234”
Searching by date of birth can be particularly useful with students who cannot spell their names correctly, or whose name can be spelled in different ways (think of Asian names).
The search box also auto-completes surnames as you type, helping you speed up your search.
