How To Cancel A Lesson

Following the recent release of the new timetable, we’re adding a tiny but useful feature: ability to cancel arbitrary lessons without changing the default class schedule.

From the room planner or weekly timetable, click on a lesson to see its details, then tick ‘this lesson is not taking place’ to cancel it:

The lesson will still show up in your timetable, but it will be in red and flagged with the ‘×’ symbol.

This makes sure your staff is aware of this unexpected change.

You can reset the lesson at later stage by just un-ticking the ‘canceled’ check box from the details form.

Please note that cancelling a lesson also affects:

• teachers monthly summary: cancelled lessons are not counted.
• student attendance: cancelled lessons are not taken into account.
• room planner: cancelled lessons are not shown (because the room is free).

As a next step we will be adding the ability to schedule spare lessons (not strictly linked to the weekly class schedule) to allow greater flexibility especially for private lessons.
