How To Customize Payment Receipts And Invoices

In the past couple of weeks we acquired new customers that send invoices to their students before a payment takes place.
To handle both Recipts and Invoices, we updated the ‘Print receipt’ functionality which is now more flexible and customizable.
Let’s take a look at a printed invoice, and see which sections are now configurable:

The new customizable sections are:
Sub-header: optional, configurable under the Configuration/Receipts tab, can be used to add extra information about your school, such as contact details, slogans etc.
Notes: these are taken from the payment notes, and can be used to specify payment’s due date, card used to take payment etc.
Extra Notes: optional, configurable under the Configuration/Receipts tab, can be used to add extra notes that do not change between payments. This is a good place to specify payment instructions and your bank account details.
All of these fields can be changed under the Configuration tab:

These new sections support HTML tags so that you can style them as you wish, with bold/centered/underlined text or different font sizes.
We will switch to a “What You See Is What You Get” editor soon to make it easier to style your text.
Also, you can now switch from “Receipt” to “Invoice” so that the printed copies can reflect the type of document you’re printing.
