Never Forget Student Birthdays

NiftySchool provides an alerts system, that automatically notifies you when an important condition needs checking.

Alerts are created, for example, when a student attendance is poor, or when a payment is due.

Many schools prepare birthday cards for their students and celebrate birthdays during the lessons, so we added a new alert that checks for student’s birthdays, and reminds you about them.

Even students who don’t like to celebrate their birthdays will appreciate the extra care you’ve taken by buying them a card, or by just wishing them happy birthday!

When registering a student in the student, fill in his date of birth:

Based on this field, every morning, NiftySchool will check if there’s a birthday coming up, and will let you know by putting an alert in your dashboard.

Birthdays are shown one day in advance, so you have the time to buy cards or organize drinks for the day.

Should you let the birthday pass, the alerts will just disappear, without cluttering your busy list of things to do.

Also, should you find these alerts annoying, remember they can be switched off from the Configuration screen.
